Late Season Candidate: NHL Knockout of the Year

Game 82 for the Atlanta Thrashers gave, what the front office hopes anyway, is a glimpse into the future- since they're not in the post-season this year...

The Thrashers' Evander Kane showed why he's called, in some circles, "The Real Deal." He took on the Pens Matt Cooke and dropped him with a right hand to the jaw in the second period.

And the HQ means "dropped..."

That fight should have never occured, it was a clean hit and kane should have been ejected for starting the fight.

lol couldnt happen to a nicer guy. same guy who cheap shotted marc savard and endin his season maybe career. karma i'd say. fight was goin to happen cooke went after kane in the first and watch the replay cooke was the one who wanted to fight he dropped gloves and helmet,got his ass handed to him. good he's ok but look what he did to savard,uncalled for there. gj kane!

Someone had to step in an teach this guy a lesson. He is well known as a dirty player and the NHL has let him get off. Not even a slap on the wrist when he took out Savard
