Don King detained at Cleveland airport...Insert Joke Here

It took a few minutes to post this, mostly because we were laughing our collective heads off. Apparently formerly famous boxing promoter Don King was detained at the Cleveland airport on Sunday for having ammo in his carry on luggage.

Yeah, you heard us right. Ammo in the luggage. He was briefly detained by the TSA and then sent on his way.

Sadly, King was in Cleveland for the funeral of his wife who passed away on Thursday night. Our condolences on that.

For his part, King has retreated from the boxing scene over the years after dominating it back in the 70's and 80's. If you aren't familiar with him, he's the guy with the electric hair and tendency to create his own wacky version of the English language. He was, for a time, associated with Muhammed Ail, Sugar Ray Leonard and other boxers from that era.

Check out this old interview with King and David Letterman talking about Joe Frazier and George Foreman....
