Tom Fenton's Day On The Ice

This story has two parts...

Coyotes starting goalie Ilya Bryzgalov came down with the flu last night.

Jason LaBarbera got the start against the New York Rangers. But you still need a back-up... enter Fenton...

Earlier Thursday, the 26-year-old was working in his job as director of game operations and communications at Manhattanville College. He was signed to an emergency contract.

He actually had to skip a final exam to make the game...

Fenton's goaltending experience was four years at American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts where he went 1-12-1 with a 3.60 goals-against average in the 2008-09 season.

Here's his interview with MSG...

And his interview with fellow goaltender Linda Cohn...

No, Fenton didn't get in the game, but the HQ is currently looking for Fenton swag on the Desert Dogs website...

How cool is that story to tell your kids and grandkids...???
