Hamilton Tiger-Cats Home In Doubt

((HT: FAN 590/Toronto, Hamilton Spectator))

No new stadium for Hamilton and the future of the Tiger-Cats are in question after the Hamilton, Ontario city council voted down building a Pan Am Stadium at Confederation Park and defeated a proposal to purchase the CP Rail lands as an alternate site for the venue.

Ti-Cats owner Bob Young had previously stated that staying at Ivor Wynne was not an option and that moving the club would be a possibility.

This was the first attempted move by new mayor Bob Bratina to make a foothold in his legacy. Confederate Park, in the eyes of the majority of the city council, is valuable greenspace and not going to be converted.

Councillor Sam Merulla is set to introduce a motion to renovate Ivor Wynne instead of building a new stadium.

More when we know more...
But, in the interim, here's some Ti-Cats/Argonauts highlights from this year...
