Yes, the item that every sports journalist across the globe has been waiting for has officially begun. Tiger Woods showed up today at Augusta National Golf Course to begin his Masters week.
Thankfully, reporters and photographers were not allowed onto the course, however they were allowed on the new and improved practice range where the breathlessly relayed every detail of his 50 or so practice swings.

Admittedly, we are kind of looking forward to the first 5 minutes or so of Tiger's press conference on Monday, however, we don't have the same excitement over what will be a complete and utter overkill on a story that has been stuck with a fork way too many times. We are more curious to see how the guy plays after being away from the game for 4 months and how he is received by his fellow golfers.
Sure, everyone has an opinion on this and they should, it makes the debate a little more fun. However, there has to at some point be a line drawn where we can say "Okay, he's said enough, let's move on". It bothers us to no end how many journalists and bloggers think that he owes them a play-by-play detail of everything that he did. No guys, he doesn't. We also don't need the endless stories by the national folks talking about it either. For a lot of these people, until they get their "Exclusive" one-on one with the guy, they are going to continue taking shots. Trust me...you are going to get all Tiger all the time this week. Watch and see.
In case any of you have forgotten, this is why the guy is famous. Thanks you Tube:
