By all definitions, Jeffrey Landrigan was a bad man...
He had been on death row since in the state of Arizona since his 1990 conviction for a murder that prosecutors said was part of a robbery.
It was the first execution in the state since 2007...
Here's the story of the execution, thanks to our friends at KTVK/AZ3...
It's not what Landrigan did that gets the attention after his passing, but what was said before his passing...
Landrigan's last words, according to the Arizona Department of Corrections:
"Well, I'd like to say thank you to my family for being here and all my friends, and Boomer Sooner," he said.
And you thought college football was only a pasttime on Saturdays...
Only in America...
