The Colorado Eagles of the Central Hockey League will find out tomorrow what criminal charges and Central Hockey League sanctions they may get for their half of a donnybrook during last Saturday's game against the Odessa Jackalopes.
Larimer County ((CO)) Sheriff's investigators have met with prosecutors to discuss.
Central Hockey League officials have been investigating the incidents since Monday, two days after the Jackalopes forfeited a game in which they were leading 3-1. Jackalopes player Dave Van Drunen suffered a broken nose and broken jaw, requiring an overnight stay in a hospital, 18 screws and half-a-dozen metal plates to fix his face.
Jackalopes owner Rick Gasser told the Odessa American newspaper earlier this week that he was seeking "a lifetime ban for MacMillan, at least 20 games for Mario and a season-long suspension for Greg Pankewicz."
Here's Meron Berkson with the breakdown of the breakdown...
