OSG High: Two Special Touchdowns

((HT: Seattle Times))

Steve Kelley has the story of Ike Ditzenberger. Ike suffers from Down's Syndrome and the head coach at Snohomish ((WA)) High, Mark Perry, understood how important an activity like playing football could shape someone's life.

Perry also understood what Ike's presence could do for his players...

Here's what happened in a recent game...

The second one comes from Arkansas where a football player with cerebral palsy, Dylan Galloway, was given the opportunity to score in another home game.

The Manila ((AR)) High School senior was put into a game trailing with Manila Rivercrest High, 47-0, with just less than five minutes to go. Coaches for both teams got together and set up a play where Galloway could get the ball in his wheelchair and score.

Coverage from FOSG Chris Hudgison and KAIT is here...
The play-by-play from our friends at Ritter Television is here...
