Decision In 2010: Heath Shuler Re-Elected In North Carolina

((HT: WSPA-TV))

Democratic Representative Heath Shuler successfully defended his seat against a challenge from Republican candidate Jeff Miller.

The 11th District race in the far western North Carolina/Tennessee border area became one of the state's most closely watched races/elections. Outside groups have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars ((stunner)) trying to portray Shuler as a follower of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Shuler has worked to highlight the votes where he's differed from party leadership.

As did a lot of Democrat party affiliated candidates who wanted to save their own seats in Congress...

Shuler was projected winner with early returns of 54-percent of the vote...

Here's what he's been up to in office... hanging out with Glenn Beck discussing immigration issues...
