Bond Set In USM Player Shooting

Bond has been set at $3 million for Travis Brown who has been charged in the shooting of three University of Southern Mississippi football players back on the 14th.

The Hattiesburg American newspaper reports Brown appeared before Forrest County ((MS)) Justice Court Judge Vanessa Jones who set bond at $1 million on each of three counts of aggravated assault.

Three other people are charged as accessories in the case.

Martez Smith, Tim Green and Deddrick Jones were shot outside a Hattiesburg bar after a night of celebrating their win over 25th-ranked Central Florida. The shooting left Smith paralyzed from the waist down.
