Chris Long, known as "Solid" in the Lucha Libre USA promotion, was working at Shooter Alley when gunshots were fired inside the suburban Atlanta club Sunday. It was a security job he had, and the shooting may have been in retalliation for tossing some customers that weren't behaving earlier in the evening.
“Apparently, three guys started misbehaving and Chris and two other bouncers tossed them out," Long's friend Frank Aldridge told the newspaper.
"He lived for pro wrestling," Lucha Libre CEO Steven Ship said. “He was very loved by the fans. He was a bigger-than-life character, both on TV and in person.”
Ship said he was planning to see Long at the league's next taping on December 12th in New Mexico.
