Decision In 2010: Split Night For Hoopsters

((HT: KSL-TV Salt Lake City/KGW-TV Portland))

Shawn Bradley had it rough in Utah, while Chris Dudley is going to be in a buzzer beater in Oregon for Governor.

Insert joke about being a better politician than free throw shooter here...

Bradley was running for a state house seat in District 44, and it turned out to be a two-possession game

Tim M. Cosgrove Democratic 4,025 51.13 29/29
Shawn P. Bradley Republican 3,660 46.49 29/29
Erin M. Partridge Libertarian 187 2.38 29/29

Dudley, on the other hand, is in a race that is currently "too close to call." He's locked in the gubernatorial battle with Democrat John Kitzhaber. Kitzhaber is attempting to be a three-term governor in Oregon.

Here's Dudley late last night, east coast time...

With about 70 percent of precincts reporting, Dudley led Kitzhaber by two percentage points and a few thousand votes.

Each guy has have spent at least $15 million this year. Results may not be known until late Tuesday night or later.

Kitzhaber has run on the platform that he has the experience to guide Oregon through a difficult budget process and a tough economy. Dudley has emphasized the need for a new direction, with an emphasis on creating new jobs and curtailing government.
