Pat Tillman, Sr. To Brigadier General: "F*** You And Yours..."

((HT: Huffington Post/Stein))

Sam Stein over at the Huffington Post reveals two letters that Pat Tillman's father sent to Brigadier General Gary M. Jones, who was heading the investigation in his son's death, and the Senate Armed Services Committee. The eleven pages were released by the Weinstein Company to Stein as the Tillman documentary is set to be in theatres on August 20.

For those of you who have forgotten, here's the trailer...

Tillman ended his second letter to the Committee this way:

"The Rangers stand for something- to this day, in my mind, the best. None of the five (5) soldiers on the ground, nor anyone in a discretionary capacity involved in this "Briefing Book," deserve to be affiliated with the Rangers. If your uniforms are so decorated, you should remove those items.

In sum: Fuck you... and yours."

It's sad that a family is having to tell the government what he did, but the HQ thinks this was really being kind because of what went down.

Full disclosure: Members of the HQ are members of the Pat Tillman Foundation, and think that those individuals involved in this cover-up and still think they're in the right should refer directly to the Tillman letters mentioned above.
