A day after the tragic death of freshman receiver Josh Rake North Texas showed all the heart of a team playing for more that just a win but for their fallen teammate.
Down 28-14 North Texas stormed back to score a pair of touchdowns and an extra point away from tieing the game. It was then things for North Texas turned cruel when Trent Deans' point-after try was blocked by ULL's Jermaine Rogers to save the night for the Rajin' Cajin's 28-27.
