No Defense In Sac-town. Montana State Defeats Sacramento State 64-61

Do they play defense in the Big Sky Conference? Having covered that conference for three years the answer is maybe.

Montana State and Sacramento State played a game of "the last one scores wins." It turned out that would be the Montana State Bobcats.

Montana State had a 37-10 lead at halftime but the Sac State offense came alive with five 3rd quarter touchdowns to take a 45-44 lead.

More points were scored with the game ending in a 61-61 tie at the end of regulation. Jason Cunningham's 25 yard field goal in overtime proved to big the winner as the Hornets could not score in their overtime possession.

“I’ve been involved in high-scoring games before,” Montana State head coach Rob Ash said, “but not one with as much drama as this, and not one with a comeback like this. This was a crazy game.”

That win was Ash's 200th as a head coach.

Sacramento State piled up 624 yards of total offense, Montana State had 646 yards of total offense.
