Day Four: Bonds On Trial

A steroids expert told jurors in the perjury trial of Barry Bonds that the two designer drugs allegedly used by Bonds- the "clear" and the "cream"- were created not to be detected.

Larry Bowers, the chief scientist at USADA, said that the "clear" ((or THG)) was not detectable by most drug testing protocols in 2003. The "cream" was designed, according to Bowers, to "basically fool the laboratory."
