The new head of the NCAA, Mark Emmert, is this/close to admitting that his organization should be paying athletes...
And the HQ thinks that as soon as Messrs. Keller and O'Bannon et al. win their case against the NCAA for the usage of their likenesses and not getting reimbursed for it, the end game will be the addition of the stipend to an athletic scholarship.
Emmert had to say something to cover his sport's collective tookas... and he did it on PBS...
The only issue then will be determining if non-revenuers get the same as revenuers when it comes to their stipending. And THAT won't be a new fire to put out, will it...???
Here's Part One of the "Frontline" special "Money and March Madness" where Emmert looks like he got blindsided...
