The Chicago Cubs, according to long-time play-by-play guy Pat Hughes, lost their biggest fan when Ron Santo passed this morning at the age of 70.
Friends of Santo's family said Santo died Thursday night in Arizona after lapsing into a coma the day before. He died of complications from bladder cancer.
The Wrigley Field marquee was changed to say "Ron Santo, 1940 - 2010"
