The stepbrother of Andrew Gallo, the man accused in a drunken-driving crash that killed rookie Los Angeles Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart and two others, has testified that he persuaded the defendant to keep drinking.
Raymond Rivera said in court today that he and Gallo spent hours drinking before the April 2009 accident. Rivera said that when Gallo eventually went to the restroom he ordered two more beers, but Gallo did not want to drink them and wanted to go home.
Rivera also testified that he kept at Gallo, telling him that he paid for the beers and they should finish them.
