The New York Jets Braylon Edwards was busted for drunk driving early Tuesday morning.
Cops pulled him over on the west side of Manhattan and found he had double the legal limit of alcohol in his system- a .16 instead of a .08, according to the New York Post's Larry Celona.
Edwards was arrested at 5:15am local time and charged with DWI, after cops initially pulled him over for having overly-tinted windows.
Edwards is expected to be arraigned later Tuesday.
The Jets issued the following statement early this morning:
"We are very disappointed in Braylon's actions this morning. The Player Protect program is in place for our organization to prevent this situation. Braylon is aware of this program and showed poor judgment. We are reviewing the information with the league and will impose the appropriate disciplinary measures."
