South Dakota Takes Out Minnesota

So, you have a brand, spanking new football stadium... and how do you celebrate and christen it...???

By losing to a Division I-AA school, or an FCS school... whichever you're wired to say these days...

USD QB Dante Warren had 433 yards of total offense and five touchdowns to lead the Coyotes to a 41-38 victory over Minnesota (1-1) in front of 49,554 fans at TCF Bank Stadium on Saturday. Warren was 21-of-30 for 352 yards and three touchdowns and added 81 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

The win was South Dakota head coach Ed Meierkort’s 100th.

“You go into a game like this hoping that everything works perfectly and today it did for us,”
Warren said. “Receivers were catching the ball for me and the defense came out and gave the offense confidence with the stops they were getting. We just pushed through the end and got to take the victory set and kneel it down.”

Here's coverage from our friends at KELO-TV and KSFY-TV in Sioux Falls...
