Georgia walk-on gets a great gift for his dad on Fathers Day....

((ht: ajc.com/prepblog))

This is a nice story out of Athens and the University of Georgia. Connor Nolte, a walk-on basketball player at UGA and the guy behind passersremorse.com, a website chock full of You Tube basketball trick shots, got a great gift for his dad this fathers day.

Nolte, who is a rising junior in Athens, sat out last season after transferring from Furman. He always wanted to play major college hoops, so he made the team as a walk-on, even though he couldn't do anything but practice and sit on the bench.

Georgia Coach Mark Fox told him on Sunday, his goal was achieved, he got a full-scholarship at the school.

We salute coach Fox and UGA for doing this, it reinforces that there are people who do care in College Sports and it's nice to see.

We also hope that Nolte will continue his You Tube video's next season, they were entertaining and we linked to them on more than one occasion.

Here is the latest video from Connor's blog (He's an intern at ESPN this summer). Thanks passersremorse.com and You Tube:
