Zenyatta came within a head of finishing a perfect career...
Literally...
She was dead last at one point- almost 18 to 20 lengths back of the leaders- but came on like a house-a-fire in the last 500 yards. However, Blame held her off to win the $5 million Breeders' Cup Classic at Churchill Downs in Louisville.
Zenyatta entered the race hoping to improve to 20-0 on her 6-year career. She just kinda hung out behind everyone for the first mile before closing.
Blame covered the 1 1/4-mile distance in 2:02.28 as a 5-to-1 shot. Fly Down held on for third, while Preakness champion Lookin At Lucky finished fourth.
