Cleveland Sports Anchor Indicted On Rape, Kidnapping Charges

((HT: WEWS-TV/NewsNet5))

A Cleveland television sports anchor has been indicted on charges of raping a woman in his home.

Cuyahoga ((OH)) County prosecutor Bill Mason says WEWS-TV anchor Terry Brooks was indicted Wednesday on one count of kidnapping and four counts each of rape and attempted rape.

Brooks is accused of raping a 21-year-old woman in September at his home after they went to a sports bar together. The rape claim was reported in January. His arraignment is August 18th.

It's interesting to see how they covered one of their own in the blotter...

Brooks claims he's innocent and has been placed on leave...
And the HQ likes the disclaimer at the end...
Quite dramatic...
